We are working with London’s leading charitable hospital who are currently looking for a Staff Nurse to join their busy Surgical Ward, their 15 bedded ward specialising in providing care to a variety of surgical specialties, including; urology, gastrointestinal surgery and plastics/cosmetic surgery.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving busy team and wants to work with excellent staff to patient ratios.
Duties:
To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care with the multidisciplinary team and patients’ families
To supervise and teach less qualified staff with the support and supervision or more senior members of the team.
To apply advanced clinical skills to assist in performing safe effective care for patients.
To recognise when changes in patients’ conditions occur and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
Current NMC registration in adult or general nursing.
Significant post registration skills.
Ideally, you would have worked in a ward specialising in stroke rehabilitation.
Experience of caring for sick patients in a variety of settings – this could be as a student.
Excellent clinical skills.
Excellent communicator.
Professional commitment and self-awareness.
