You’ll be a key member of the senior finance leadership team, responsible for delivering comprehensive financial management across Corporate, Operational Services, Estates and Education divisions. Responsibilities
As Head of Finance, you will:
Provide strategic financial leadership across multiple divisions.
Lead the budgeting process and ensure annual budgets are agreed and implemented.
Monitor financial performance, identify corrective actions and deliver efficiencies.
Prepare accurate financial reports and lead the month-end process.
Support divisional teams in evaluating business cases and achieving performance targets.
Oversee the management accounting team and ensure robust financial systems.
Drive improvements in governance, compliance and financial awareness among non-finance managers.
Requirements
Qualified Accountant with active CPD registration.
Significant post-qualification experience in financial leadership.
Proven ability to operate at a strategic level in a complex organisation (NHS experience desirable).
Expertise in NHS financial regime, capital processes, and business case development.
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage conflict, build trust, and deliver results under pressure.
