Job Title: Biomedical Scientist – Band 6
Start Date:02/02/2026
End Date:04/05/2026 (with potential extension)
Location: Norflock
Assignment Type: Temporary
Shift Requirement:24/7 coverage
Shift Pattern
You will be filling vacant shifts across the full service, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Essential
NHS experience in a Blood Sciences setting
Competent in:
Haematology
Blood Transfusion
Fully compliant prior to CV submission
Ability to work independently and safely across 24/7 shifts
Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail
Desirable Skills
Experience with automated platforms (Sysmex, Ortho, Roche, etc.)
Experience supporting cross‑site or high‑throughput workflows
Ability to troubleshoot analyser issues
Engagement in QA, audits or process improvement
