Duties and Responsibilities:
To actively participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a consistent, high-quality service to all patients and visitors.
To carry out general and specialised radiographic procedures within their scope of competence as agreed with the Clinical Services Manager - Imaging / Clinical Lead to high technical and quality standards, assessing patients & interpreting clinical requirements to determine appropriate radiographic techniques.
Undertake imaging examinations in line with department operational procedures and policies, using techniques that produce the lowest radiation dose to the patient and staff whilst producing high quality, diagnostic images.
See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy
Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload – in the department, on the ward and in theatre
Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities
Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
Supervise and develop junior colleagues
Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
Practice good radiation, protection and safety and observe Local Rules and Systems of Work.
Successful Candidate will have:
· As a Senior Radiographer you’ll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and high levels of technical knowledge.
· You will have the ability to work accurately and compassionately.
· The role will require rotation throughout all the modalities (CT, MRI, with some extension to Core Services).
