Your Role as Post-Operative/Recovery Nurse
As a Recovery Nurse, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients immediately after surgery and throughout their outpatient recovery. You’ll work across the clinic’s three operating theatres and nurse-led dressings clinic, ensuring patients are closely monitored, reassured and cared for with dignity and precision.
Your responsibilities will include:
Patient Recovery & Monitoring
Deliver high-quality care in the post-anaesthetic care unit (PACU)
Monitor patients’ post-surgery and escalate concerns appropriately
Provide wound care and post-operative advice in our dressings clinic
Collaborative Care
Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and recovery teams
Ensure continuity of care from theatre discharge to wound healing
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold clinical standards
Patient Support
Offer emotional reassurance and practical guidance
Ensure safety, comfort and dignity throughout the recovery process
Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming clinical environment
What You’ll Bring

Essential:
1+ year experience in a surgical ward (pre-/post-op)
1+ year experience in PACU or recovery
Valid NMC registration and eligibility to work in the UK
Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail
Calm, empathetic approach and excellent communication skills
Desirable:
Experience in wound care and post-surgical dressings
Previous work in private healthcare
Phlebotomy skills
Familiarity with electronic clinical records

Salary: £38,000 per year
Location: Central London
Contract: Full-time, permanent
