Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess and maintain imaging quality, performing all necessary processing functions to achieve good quality images.
Assist in more complex radiological examinations under the supervision of senior staff.
Will function as an “operator” and / or IR(ME)R Practitioner as defined by IR(ME)R regulations.
Perform a wide range of x-ray examinations to a high level of expertise, including CT scans across the patient spectrum.
Produce images of sufficient quality for the diagnostic and treatment process in accordance with professional, technical and legal standards.
Regular exposure to distressing or emotional situations, weekly, e.g., caring for terminally ill and occasional exposure to highly distressing situations e.g., cardiac arrest.
Your working hours will be 37.5 hours a week – 12 hours a day.
BSc Radiography or DCR or other recognised equivalent radiography qualification.
Registration with HCPC.
Experience of performing CT scans.
Experience of mobile, theatre and screening work.
Experience of general and trauma plain film imaging, with knowledge of a wide variety of all imaging techniques.
H&S regulations relating to radiation protection (including IRMER regulations).
Computer skills for patient data and image manipulation for digital modalities.
Manual handling and basic resuscitation.
