An established healthcare organisation is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to join its dedicated team supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse. This is a rewarding opportunity to work across all stages of recovery from initial engagement to sustained wellbeing within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Supporting a group of clients through tailored recovery planning and regular progress reviews
Conducting initial assessments and deeper evaluations to understand individual needs
Partnering with external organisations to coordinate care and interventions
Connecting clients with treatment options, community resources and peer-led support
Leading safeguarding and risk management efforts for your caseload
Facilitating therapeutic sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings
Promoting harm reduction strategies, including health screenings and needle exchange services
Keeping detailed records using digital case management tools
Participating in team development, supervision and ongoing training
Who You Are
You’re someone who brings empathy, structure and insight to your work. You understand the complexities of addiction and recovery and are committed to helping others rebuild their lives.
Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to obtain it
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
Strong communication skills and professional boundaries
Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and risk assessment
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital case systems
Knowledge of therapeutic approaches like MI, CBT, PSIs, and ITEP
For clearance a valid enhance DBS is required
Preferred Background
Formal training in addiction support, counselling or social work
Experience in NHS or private sector recovery services
