You’ll join a leading healthcare organisation committed to delivering exceptional care. Our Sterile Services Department plays a vital role in supporting theatres, wards and clinical teams by ensuring surgical instruments and endoscopes are decontaminated, sterilised and ready for use.
Responsibilities
Decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes.
Operate washer-disinfectors, endoscope reprocesses, sterilizers and other specialist equipment.
Pack and prepare sterile items for distribution to wards, theatres and departments.
Maintain accurate records using a computerised tracking system.
Ensure work areas are clean and adhere to infection control protocols.
Participate in departmental cleaning schedules and quality management systems.
Requirements
General standard of education with ability to read and follow written instructions.
High level of manual dexterity and ability to wear protective equipment.
Previous experience in decontamination or healthcare (desirable, but full training provided).
Basic IT skills and willingness to learn.
Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
