You’ll be joining a respected, modern, and progressive private hospital with a fast‑growing diagnostic imaging service. Our imaging department is equipped with cutting‑edge MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and digital radiography systems, supporting a wide range of clinical specialties including cardiothoracic, orthopaedics, ENT and advanced medical diagnostics.

We are driven by excellence, governed by strong clinical standards, and united by a shared commitment to delivering safe, accurate, high‑quality imaging that transforms patient care.

As a Senior Radiographer, YOU will play an essential role in delivering high‑quality imaging across multiple modalities. You will support the smooth running of a busy, diverse imaging service — ensuring every patient receives exceptional care, clarity, and reassurance.

This role includes rotational work through MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and X‑Ray, giving you exposure to varied clinical pathways and ongoing professional growth. Weekend work is included within the rota.

If you enjoy complex imaging, autonomy, and working with a collaborative team, this is the perfect next step.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic procedures including MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and X‑Ray

  • Support IV cannulation and contrast administration

  • Prepare, assess, and position patients for imaging with care, safety, and precision

  • Operate sophisticated imaging equipment and report any technical issues promptly

  • Ensure optimal image quality and adjust acquisition parameters appropriately

  • Complete all documentation accurately, including patient details and imaging records

  • Adhere strictly to radiation safety standards, IR(M)ER, and Code of Practice guidelines

  • Monitor patients during scans and respond quickly to clinical changes

  • Maintain excellent communication with patients, carers, and the MDT

  • Support governance activities: quality control, audits, incident reporting, and in‑house peer review

  • Assist with vetting, admin tasks, and patient bookings when required

  • Maintain a professional, calm, empathetic approach in all interactions

Requirements

Essential
  • Degree in Diagnostic Imaging

  • HCPC registration

  • Strong experience in MRI and CT

  • Sound clinical judgement across multiple imaging pathways

  • Understanding of clinical governance, audit processes, and safety protocols

  • Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and interpersonal

  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and manage your own workload

  • Confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Kind, proactive, patient‑focused, and committed to high‑quality care

  • Computer literacy and understanding of imaging systems

Desirable
  • Cardiac CT or cardiac MRI experience

  • COR‑approved cannulation qualification

  • DR digital radiography and fluoroscopy experience

  • Previous private or NHS hospital imaging experience

  • Knowledge of advanced imaging technology developments

  • Understanding of medical interventions and diagnostic pathways

Benefits

You will join a team that values collaboration, transparency, kindness, and continuous improvement. This hospital offers:

  • Modern, well‑equipped imaging facilities

  • A supportive team culture built on respect and shared learning

  • Clear clinical leadership and governance structures

  • Professional growth opportunities and ongoing CPD

  • A diverse caseload with excellent exposure to advanced diagnostic workflows

This is the perfect role for a radiographer seeking variety, stability, and a high‑performance imaging environment.
