Staff Nurse – Surgical
The successful applicant will have been working in a similar environment and will be up to date in current practices. Experience will extend to working within a busy ward and professional, multi-disciplinary teams. Ideally, you will have worked in a ward specialising in stroke rehabilitation. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving busy team and wants to work with excellent staff to patient ratios.
Your Duties:
To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care with the multidisciplinary team and patients’ families
To supervise and teach less qualified staff with the support and supervision or more senior members of the team.
To apply advanced clinical skills to assist in performing safe effective care for patients
To recognise when changes in patients’ conditions occur and take appropriate action
Requirements:
Current NMC registration in adult or general nursing
Significant post registration skills
Experience of caring for sick patients in a variety of settings – this could be as a student
Excellent clinical skills
Excellent communicator
Professional commitment and self-awareness
Motivate self and others
