Staff Nurse – Surgical

 

The successful applicant will have been working in a similar environment and will be up to date in current practices. Experience will extend to working within a busy ward and professional, multi-disciplinary teams. Ideally, you will have worked in a ward specialising in stroke rehabilitation. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving busy team and wants to work with excellent staff to patient ratios.

 

Your Duties:

 

  • To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care with the multidisciplinary team and patients’ families

  • To supervise and teach less qualified staff with the support and supervision or more senior members of the team.

  • To apply advanced clinical skills to assist in performing safe effective care for patients

  • To recognise when changes in patients’ conditions occur and take appropriate action

 

Requirements:

 

  • Current NMC registration in adult or general nursing

  • Significant post registration skills

  • Experience of caring for sick patients in a variety of settings – this could be as a student

  • Excellent clinical skills

  • Excellent communicator

  • Professional commitment and self-awareness

  • Motivate self and others
