Job Profile

As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of patient centred care, including the appropriate assessment and evaluation of nursing interventions and ongoing care planning, quality improvement and service delivery alongside the multidisciplinary team.

  • Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday.

  • Salary: The salary range for this role is £33,061- £42,955 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting and shift enhancements), depending on skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for individualised patient care acting as the named nurse, using the Roper Logan and Tierney model and Documentation for the department.

  • Encourage good working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, to ensure the effective care and treatment of patients.

  • Ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and be aware of the legal implications of these documents.

  • Regularly participate in department meetings to enhance team communication.

  • Promote safe practice and professional conduct, as well as research-based practice, quality assurance and clinical audit where appropriate

Skills & Experience

  • Registered Nurse/Degree level with valid NMC registration

  • To have experience in general surgery/and some experience in ophthalmology.

  • To have up to date knowledge of current issues in Day surgery.

  • To have proven Phlebotomy/ Cannulation skills and experience in the management of clients
