We have a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Orthopaedic Theatre nurse / practitioner to join our team in London. Our client is not only committed to providing the highest standards of care for their patients, but also their staff- taking care of you, so you can deliver the best care possible. We are looking for experienced scrub with knowledge of other specialties, to work in our Theatre department. They are offering a competitive salary plus benefits and you will be required to fulfil 37.5 hours of work per week.

 

The hospital consists of:

48 inpatient and day case bedrooms

28 consultation rooms

Three digital operating theatres

Cardiac catheterisation lab

Specialist intensive care beds

Oncology day unit

Endoscopy and minor ops theatre

Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, and general X-ray.

Requirements

Registered with the NMC or HCP your specialist training includes a nursing/practitioner qualification and/or postgraduate courses.

You’ve also got impressive senior level experience in a Theatre setting, previous experience in Orthopaedic and/or Cardiac surgery is essential.

You’ll be accountable for leading, motivating and supervising a multidisciplinary team within the two general Theatres, one Cardiac Hybrid Theatre and a 4 bed Recovery area.

Responsibilities

Operationally you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Theatre department and/or provide the senior leadership within the Theatre. We’ll expect you to actively contribute to service development and alongside the Theatre manager. You will support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients. Working collaboratively alongside the consultants, you’ll ensure patients benefit from the best possible treatment and care.
