Essential Skills & Requirements
HCPC Registered Radiographer
NHS experience in a busy radiology department
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication and patient‑care skills
Strong working knowledge of:
General X‑ray
Theatre imaging
Fluoroscopy (if experienced)
Mobile imaging (wards & ED)
Highly Desirable Skills
Cannulation
CT (competent or willing to cross‑train)
MRI experience
Experience mentoring Band 5 Radiographers or students
Knowledge of advanced imaging protocols
Confident using RIS/PACS systems
Adaptable to fast‑paced environments
Your Responsibilities
You will:
Deliver safe, accurate and efficient diagnostic imaging
Work collaboratively with radiologists, ED teams, theatre staff, and clinicians
Prioritise urgent cases while maintaining workflow across modalities
Ensure all imaging meets Trust quality standards
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all governance, IR(ME)R and safety protocols
Support service delivery Monday–Friday, with reliability essential
