Role Details

  • Hours: Monday–Friday

Essential Skills & Requirements
  • HCPC Registered Radiographer

  • NHS experience in a busy radiology department

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Excellent communication and patient‑care skills

  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • General X‑ray

    • Theatre imaging

    • Fluoroscopy (if experienced)

    • Mobile imaging (wards & ED)

Highly Desirable Skills
  • Cannulation

  • CT (competent or willing to cross‑train)

  • MRI experience

  • Experience mentoring Band 5 Radiographers or students

  • Knowledge of advanced imaging protocols

  • Confident using RIS/PACS systems

  • Adaptable to fast‑paced environments

Your Responsibilities

You will:

  • Deliver safe, accurate and efficient diagnostic imaging

  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, ED teams, theatre staff, and clinicians

  • Prioritise urgent cases while maintaining workflow across modalities

  • Ensure all imaging meets Trust quality standards

  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all governance, IR(ME)R and safety protocols

  • Support service delivery Monday–Friday, with reliability essential
