With the launch of our client's new hospital, they are looking for an experienced Radiographer (MRI) to Lead their new team to excellence.
The new hospital will consist of:
48 inpatient and day case bedrooms
28 consultation rooms
Three digital operating theatres
Cardiac catheterisation lab
Specialist intensive care beds
Oncology day unit
Endoscopy and minor ops theatre
Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray
Responsibilities
You will lead and support individuals and teams to deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care.
Reporting to the Cardiac & Diagnostic Imaging Manager you will be responsible for the day to day management of the MRI services and a key member of the imaging senior leadership team.
Along the way, you will build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients.
Working collaboratively with the consultants, you will ensure patients benefit from the highest quality diagnostic imaging and care.
Requirements
Registered with the HCPC, your specialist training must include postgraduate training in MRI.
You will have a minimum of 2 years’ senior radiographer experience working in a Cardiac MRI setting and must have evidence of relevant radiology competencies; ideally, you will have experience in teaching and mentoring.
Professional management experience is advantageous, as you will need to be equipped for business planning and development, audits and clinical governance, infection prevention, health and safety, and risk analysis.
There may be an opportunity for this post holder to become the Deputy Cardiac & Diagnostic Imaging Manager dependent on experience.
