You’ll join a forward-thinking healthcare organisation delivering high-quality haematology services up to Level 2a. Working alongside a dedicated team of consultants and specialists, you’ll provide comprehensive care while collaborating with regional centres for advanced services.
Responsibilities
Provide hands-on clinical care for haematology patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Work collaboratively with consultant colleagues and participate in joint MDT meetings.
Take a lead role in an area of interest, including education, audit and service development.
Act as Principal Investigator for clinical trials and contribute to research initiatives.
Develop and implement policies in partnership with hospital departments and primary care teams.
Teach and mentor medical students, junior doctors, nurse and allied health professionals.
Participate in departmental and trust-wide clinical audits.
Maintain CPD and engage in study leave opportunities.
Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1 in 4) with a Level A supplement.
Requirements
Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and eligibility for Specialist Registration.
MRCP and FRCPath (or equivalent).
Proven experience in clinical and laboratory haematology.
Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills.
Commitment to education, audit, and continuous improvement.
