Responsibilities
As a Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will:
Lead inpatient care as Consultant of the Week (1:8 weeks).
Deliver outpatient clinics (7:8 weeks).
Participate in the 24-hour Upper GI Emergency Endoscopy rota (1 in 8).
Engage in service development and strategic planning.
Contribute to education, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
Full GMC registration and MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
Entry on Specialist Register in Gastroenterology and General Medicine (or within 6 months).
JAG accreditation in Upper Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.
Ability to participate in Emergency Upper Endoscopy rota.
Interest in therapeutic GI Endoscopy (ERCP/BSCP desirable).
Strong leadership, communication, and team-working skills.
