Our hospital are looking to recruit a Charge Nurse to join the AAU team, with a competitive salary on offer up to £63,000 depending upon experience and want you to be a part of it. This is a Monday-Sunday, Days, Nights and Weekends role with the following shift patterns: 6 week rota of 19 shifts, 08:00 – 20:30 and 20:00 – 08:30 working 37.5 hours per week, this will include overtime.

Requirements

Suitable experience as an AAU Charge Nurse

NMC registered adult Nurse

Must be willing to undertake relevant post-registration courses

Demonstrable clinical experience and expertise caring for patients who are acutely unwell

Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field

Duties & responsibilities

Provides direct nursing care to patients presenting at the Acute Admissions Unit care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocol.

Is able to triage, prioritise nursing care, recognise deterioration in patient’s condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately

Evaluates, updates and revises plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.

Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care

Leads the nursing team in the delivery of patient care collaborating with other disciplines to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes
