Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To take responsibility for individualised patient care acting as the named nurse, using a Holistic approach for all patients.

  • To adopt a holistic, pro-active, and dynamic approach to patients with oncological/haematological care needs.

  • Awareness of the Holistic Needs Assessment programme, and to promote partnership with patients in their care.

  • To ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and to be aware of the legal implications of these documents.

Requirements:

  • RGN with valid NMC registration.

  • Cancer foundation course/module with Chemotherapy administration experience.

  • At least 6 months malignant haematology experience.

  • Knowledge of basic chemotherapy protocols for Haematological malignant diseases.
