Our client's nurse-to-patient ratio is one of the lowest in the UK at 1:4 which means that they can offer excellent individualised nursing care and a supportive work environment for our patients and staff.
They're looking for RGN’s with 2-3 years of surgical nursing experience, who are keen to progress in their career. This would be the ideal role for a nurse wishing to develop and extend both their managerial and leadership experience in clinical nursing.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Senior Staff Nurse, you will be expected to provide effective clinical leadership of the ward, ensuring that the nursing teams deliver safe, high quality patient care, by delivering on our leadership strategy
Assist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team
Deputise for the Ward Sister when required
Provide high quality, effective individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring
Support the nursing leadership in the delivery of the key performance and quality indicators and to use the results to inform service and quality improvements projects
Work collaboratively across organisational boundaries
Promote people’s equality, diversity and rights
Who are you?
A qualified RGN with a Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Nursing
NMC registered
Surgical ward nursing experience
An experienced band 5 Nurse looking for your next step
Currently in a Senior role and looking for managerial experience
Interview process
A one stage interview lasting approx. one hour, includes a tour of the hospital, a CV discussion and some competency-based questions. We aim to provide feedback within the same week.
