T2Healthcare is looking for an experienced and talented Registered Nurse/ODP to join their Cath Lab in Birmingham. Our client ensures that the best care is provided therefore, the successful candidate must achieve the following criteria.

Requirements

  • Registered practitioner with the appropriate governing body. NMC/HPCP

  • Cardiac catheter /Interventional Radiology experience an advantage but not essential as we will endeavour to support training in this area.

  • Previous experience in Cardiac Cath Lab/HYBRID Lab and Vascular Interventional experience is desirable, as is experience with IV Conscious Sedation.

Duties

  • To deliver high quality patient-focused care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a collaborative programme of care which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.

  • To support the department in the achievement of all clinical governance requirements and participate in audit reviews.

  • To undertake risk assessment and actively manage outcomes within the remit of their responsibilities.

  • To ensure that standards of patient care are consistently maintained at all times in accordance with agreed operational policies, procedures and local working instructions.

  • Prepare and maintain clinical records of patient care, with reference to the NMC/HCPC standards of records and record keeping.

  • Conduct yourself professionally within the standards and framework provided by the NMC codes of professional Conduct and the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).

  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with hospital policy and legislation.

  • Whenever necessary assert professional viewpoint acting as the patient’s advocate in line with the NMC Code of Conduct.

  • Perform comprehensive handover to Recovery or ward staff post procedure to maintain safe onward patient care.
