Requirements 

  • A current NMC Registration.
  • Six months post registration recent experience working on a medical or surgical ward.
  • References covering the last three years employment (including clinical references)
  • Provide or obtain evidence of MMR, TB and Hep B Immunisations
  • Professionalism, dedication and compassion.

Duties

  • Conduct physical exams
  • Take detailed health care histories
  • Listen to patients and analyse their physical and emotional needs
  • Provide counselling and health care education to patients
  • Coordinate care with other health care providers and specialists
  • Stay current with advances in health care options, medications, and treatment plans
  • Draw blood, and perform other health-related testing
  • Check a patient’s vital signs

Locum Registered Nurse

Our client hosts Hospitals with close links to other community inpatient services. they pride themselves on caring for patients of all ages with a variety of complex medical conditions and those who have post-surgical rehabilitation needs.

The multidisciplinary team includes a Doctor, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and a Social Worker. To help their patients experience a high standard of care we also have input from Specialist Nurses, a Consultant from the local acute Trust, and community teams, all working together to support discharges from hospital.

Our client has a dynamic and compassionate team who aim to provide high quality, evidence-based care. The care and therapy the patients receive is delivered through careful patient-centred assessment, with involvement from the patients and their families. They are very lucky to have a therapy gym and a day room enabling them to provide an extensive activity timetable to maximise patient recovery and ensure their admission is a positive experience for the patients and their relatives. The feedback they have received from patients is that receiving care in this environment has been invaluable to them on their journey after an acute event.

Scrub Nurse / SFA

If so, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Scrub Nurse / SFA to join their private state of the art facility. They are looking for an skilled, experienced and motivated nurse to join their hospital. 

Our client has great travel links via train, bus and car making your comutte a whole lot easier. 

Our client is just a few miles away from Gatwick Airport. Central London and Victoria station are a 30 minute train ride away.  The Hospital consists of two outpatient areas and a Bupa Health Assessment centre. There are two ward areas with 29 single rooms, a two bedded emergency recovery unit with a sixteen bedded day care unit, and five single rooms. There are three operating theatres, two with laminar flow.

Requirements 

  • NMC/HCPC (Uk Experience is essential)
  • Current Scrub experience doing volume of procedures with high and quick turnover
  • Willingness to participate in Flexible working Rota
  • Will consider applicant who are available for Full or Part time Hours
  • Surgical 1st assistant qualification desirable or the desire to complete the course at an early opportunity.

Duties

  • Assess patient’s health and well being across a complex and changing caseload
  • Identify risks involved in work practices for each patient. Manage those risks and help others to do the same
  • Develop plans of care that are appropriate to the patient that take into consideration the care pathway, perioperative risks and their wellbeing
  • Maintaining and developing services by applying legislation, policies and procedures correctly to own work within the operating theatre
  • Prioritise own workload, in the most effective manner identifying and managing any risks to quality
  • Take an active part in a variety of learning activities, making effective use of learning opportunities within and outside our client.
