Responsibilities 

  • Ensure females with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability who may also present with mental illness, personality disorders and an autistic spectrum condition receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promote good teamwork.

  • Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide person-centred care for male and female patients with a learning disability/ autism or personality disorder.

  • Work in environments ranging from small village cottages, where independent living skills can be developed, to 8 bedded units that facilitate the development of daily living skills

Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: £27,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Patient Type: Male and Female Service (18+ yrs). Learning Disabilities, Treatment & Rehabilitation

Requirements

  • Current HPC registration and full BOAT membership with evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Knowledge and use of a range of OT assessments and outcome measures.
  • Experience of working within a similar setting.

Responsibilities 

  • Facilitate a flexible programme of OT groups and individual interventions as part of our tiered integrated therapeutic group programme.
  • Completing assessments.
  • Planning sessions.
  • Implementing intervention.
  • Evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants.
  • Implement and develop evidence-based therapeutic activities to aid mental health recovery.
