Our client has some exciting opportunities for an experienced Surgical Ward Nurse to join their dynamic team, working with a wide variety of specialisms, you will be able to develop your clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • You will provide leadership for our surgical ward team, providing post-operative care to our patients, assisting in their recovery and getting them ready for discharge – this will include wound care, personal care and providing emotional support at what can be a stressful time. 
  • You will liaise with patients, their families and consultants giving advice and making recommendations to improve the patients’ wellbeing, whilst also being adept at identifying a deteriorating patient and making on the spot, informed decisions.

Candidate

  • Registered Nurse used to working with minimum supervision and experience of working in an Acute environment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • A surgical background is desirable but we are happy to consider Nurses with an interest in developing their experience in this field

Our amazing client is looking for an ambitious, dedicated Staff Nurse to join their brilliant team. You will provide first class post-surgery care to patients, ensuring the best possible experience!

Opening in 1991 with a full multi-disciplinary medical team onsite, our client practices some of the most advanced treatments on the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means they can offer everything from screening and rehabilitation through to leading-edge surgical procedures, across a range of specialist fields like orthopaedics, cosmetics and general surgery.

Duties & Responsibilities

What you will be bringing to the team

Your role will be to provide excellent planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention, supporting the management team and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre, taking on the roles of a scrub practitioner, dual role and advanced scrub practitioner

Essential

  • Registered Nurse or ODP qualification
  • Surgical First Assistant qualification is desirable but training can be provided within the role
  • English National Board Advanced scrub practitioner qualification in perioperative practice
  • Must have experience in analysing staff and theatre management problems and coming up with viable solutions
  • Must have experience of working as an advanced perioperative practitioner in and across surgical teams
  • Competent across a range of either surgical, anaesthetic or post-anaesthesia, management and leadership skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
