ITU Nurse

Our client provides a wide range of services including day care and inpatient and outpatient services. The main activity is elective (planned) surgery, and more complex procedures such as cardiac and spinal surgery are supported by the onsite critical care facilities.

Requirements 

  • You will be a Registered Nurse used to working with minimum supervision and experience of working in an acute environment. 
  • A minimum of 6 months experience working in General or Cardiac Intensive Care is desirable as is a mentorship certificate

Duties

  • The post-holder will have experience in either ITU or Critical Care, caring for level 2/3 patients.
  • You will make sure that the patient’s care is consistently maintained at all times in accordance with agreed operational policies and procedures, also ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • You will also promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees and visitors and assist Senior Staff in their management of department and provide effective leadership and management in their absence

Requirements 

  • You will be a Registered Nurse and be used to working in teams with minimum supervision. 
  • Competence across a range of skills
  • Supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration and additional training is also desirable

Duties

  • The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures
  • You will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
  • Assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs. 
  • You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements
  • Collect collate and organise data
  • Interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment
  • Making this available to relevant others.

Theatre Team Lead

Our client provides a wide range of services including day care and inpatient and outpatient services. The main activity is elective (planned) surgery, and more complex procedures such as cardiac and spinal surgery are supported by the onsite critical care facilities.

Requirements 

  • RN or ODP qualification
  • Analysing staff and theatre management  problems and coming up with viable solutions
  • Working as a  perioperative practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
  • Challenging consultants to influence evidence based practice
  • Supervisory experience (desirable)

Duties

  • Lead a team of skilled staff to provide planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention.
  • Support the theatre manager by providing regular updates and reports on your team and speciality.
  • Provide specialist advice and expertise to the team and consultants.
  • Liaise with consultants regarding planning and special requirements for lists.
  • Advise and work with SSD and other key departments on specialist equipment that must be kept in good working order.
  • Work with the Robotic Clinical Lead to develop a plan and to ensure staff are appropriately trained in use of the robot.
