Anaesthetic Practitioner

Anaesthetic Practitioner | Theatres | Band 5/6 depending on experience | Bushey | Training Opportunities

My Client has an exciting opportunity for an Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our expanding team. You will support across a variety of operations including Orthopaedics, ENT and Gynae.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the regions most experienced Consultants, covering a varied and diverse caseload. Training is available to allow you to broaden your experience and career development is readily available allowing you to move up to senior positions as and when they arise.

They have a high level of cases through Theatres on a daily basis, often averaging 50/60 in a day and you will be strongly encouraged to influence improvements and change across the department to support this level of activity.

Duties and responsibilities

Supporting in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
Promoting best practice and contributing towards quality improvements.

Experience of working in teams and also with minimum supervision.

This role will be a full time positions with No Nights, Monday - Friday and has amazing opportunities to grow and develop.

Requirements 

  • NMC registered
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Outpatients experience is desirable
  • Experience of working in teams with minimum supervision

Duties

  • Supporting in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs
  • Actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others.
  • Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security and infection control, lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices and plan, allocate, assess and provide feedback to team members.

Our client has just expanded which is why they are recruiting for a Scrub Team Leader to join thier theatre team.

Requirements 

  • Be NMC/HCPC registered - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Experience leading a team of Scrub Nurses/ODPs
  • Evidence of substantial post registration continual professional development in management and related and relevant perioperative subjects
  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
  • Experience of working in partnership with consultants and participating in creating innovative solutions for the service
  • Supervisory experience

Duties

  • To provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention while managing a team.
  • To ensure the team delivers effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership, maximising effective theatre utilisation.
  • To support and develop your team
  • To deputise where needed for senior members of the team
