Duties

  • You need to participate in cardiac investigations within own skill-base, and have working knowledge of all aspects of all services, including administrative duties. This will include performing tests and providing the reports.
  • You will be expected to act as an independent practitioner without direct supervision.
  • Iportant that you are aware of BSE, SCST and NICE guidelines and to carry out all procedures in accordance with these nationally agreed guidelines and policies of the department and hospital.
  • You must maintain expertise in “cardiac resuscitation procedures” in accordance with agreed and established policies.
  • You are responsible for safe use of complex cardiology testing equipment to ensure patient and personal safety.
  • You need to implement quality controls and assurance in accordance with agreed standards

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of high standards of care and service to the patients, and to work within a team to provide assessment and evaluation of care.

  • Ensure that drug administration and control is in accordance with legislative requirements and the clinic regulations.

  • Participate in the Cancer Centre triage bleep holder scheme.

  • Develop and participate in research-based practice, quality assurance and clinical and local audits.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Radiographer post or equivalent. 

  • Previous experience within a Clinical Lead role.

  • Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography. 

  • Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration Management / supervisory experience within a multimodality imaging department. 

  • IT familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to analyse, interpret and make recommendations on data specific to the hospital in order to identify business development opportunities, change current practice, monitor and influence performance. Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.

Our client in Northwood is looking for an experienced, ambitious and inspiring Outpatients Manager to join their dynamic Senior Management Team.  They are a close knit team and you will find a real family atmosphere where they work together and support one another to grow and develop. The role on offer is a full-time post and there is a flexible shift pattern in place. Working closely with the Director of Clinical Services you will help to maintain the service they pride themselves on.

They are a mid-sized and busy hospital that prides itself on the level of superb quality patient care it provides. The Hospital has 42 beds, three theatres including a Minor Procedures Room.

The hospital in Northwood, Greater London is located on the grounds of Mount Vernon Hospital close to Rickmansworth, with easily accessible transport links as well as offering free onsite parking – the Hospital is a truly welcoming place to work.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To strategically plan the clinical services, responsible for day to day organisation and management of clinical departments. Providing clear direction and leadership to all clinical staff, whilst supporting the initiatives of the hospital.

  • Taking responsibility to lead the department under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.

  • Responsible for the deployment, supervision and teaching of staff within the clinical area supporting the hospital management team in providing clinical leadership.

  • The role is responsible for development, motivation and performance of all clinical staff, ensuring the achievement of CQC Standards as required for nursing services in an acute care hospital accepting planned and emergency surgical and medical admissions.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience working in an acute hospital setting in a Senior Registered Nurse post or equivalent.

  • Previous experience within a Clinical Lead role within Outpatients.

  • Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations

  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.

  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies
