If so, our client is now recruiting for a Theatre Practitioner to join their state of the art facility in Gloucester, they are looking for a enthusiastic, motviated, skilled nurse to join their theatre team. 

Our client has three fully equipped, lamina flow theatres, with a six-bedded recovery, a dedicated and JAG accredited endoscopy unit, and twelve outpatient consulting rooms with associated examination and treatment facilities

Requirements

  • Candidates must be NMC or HCPC qualified
  • As a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, you’ll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration 
  • You’ll also have post-registration experience in this field
  • You’ll be an excellent communicator and team worker – flexible and motivated. 
  • As part of the wider hospital team you’ll interact with colleagues on the ward because you understand the importance of continuity in patient care.
  • They require Recovery Nurse  / Anaesthetic Nurse / Scrub Nurse. 
  • You must be registered in the UK with your professional body and able to demonstrate current Theatre experience with the ability to work under pressure.

Duties

  • Our clients Theatre Department is extremely busy, working with Consultants from a wide range of clinical disciplines, including orthopaedics and cosmetics. 
  • You must be registered in the UK with your professional body and able to demonstrate current Theatre experience with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Providing assistance to the surgeon/anaesthetist/nursing/ODP colleagues as required.
  • Acting as member of the surgical scrub team either as a scrub or circulating practitioner.
  • Co-operating with appropriate surgical staff to ensure correct positioning of patient for operative procedure.
  • Co-operating with appropriate staff to ensure prompt collection and dispatch of specimens.
  • Maintain individualised nursing/ODP care according to guidance provided by the senior nursing/ODP staff, management and consultants.
  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure continuity of clinical practice.
  • Acting as a member of the theatre team.
