Requirements 

  • HCPC registered, with a DCR or BSc in Radiography.
  • MRI and CT scanning experience covering a wide range of clinical examinations and applications, e.g. Neuro, MSK, Urology, Hepatobiliary, GI and Gynae .
  • Familiar with a computerised patient information systems and PACS.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Highly self-motivated individual who is articulate, flexible and calm within a cross-sectional imaging setting.

Duties

  • Scan patients, working closely with the band 7 radiographers and ensuring a high standard of patient care.
  • Utilise department protocols and set standards to continually undertake CT and MRI procedures of the highest quality.
  • Maintain full safety standards in MRI and ensure that any person entering the MRI /CT scanner is appropriately safety checked in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Support clinical research and participate in Audit when required.
  • Execute duties courteously and professionally at all times and seek to ensure that the highest level of customer service is provided by the Radiology department.

Requirements 

  • BSc Radiography or equivalent and professional experience of x-ray/theatre scanning

Senior MRI Radiographer

You will work 12-hour shifts as most of our sites operate from 7:30am to 8pm or similar and you will be able to do 1,2 or 3 long shifts across a rota from Monday to Sunday.

Requirements 

  • BSc Radiography or equivalent
  • Previous experience of MRI scanning
  • A high level of professionalism and technical standard of work

Superintendent Radiographer

This position would be a full-time role, working 36 hours per week on a shift pattern rota basis, Monday to Sunday, and will be a mixture of clinical work and management. 

Requirements 

  • Have the ability to supervise a team of Radiographers when necessary, instilling confidence in your co-workers
  • Are calm in challenging situations and works well under pressure
  • Have experience of undertaking basic and complex MRI procedures
  • Have a BSc in diagnostic radiography or equivalent
  • Hold a valid professional membership (HCPC registration)
  • Have a professional and cooperative attitude towards patients, customers and colleagues

Duties

  • Supervise a team of Radiographers undertaking modality specific imaging procedures
  • Undertake MRI scans in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (MHRA Guidance 2007, IR(ME)R 2000, Code of Clinical Practice)
  • Conduct competency assessments at regular intervals, ensuring any development needs are identified and followed up
  • Be actively involved in the recruitment, appointment and induction of new clinical staff
  • Arrange rotas for clinical staff where required
  • Ensure good communication is maintained with the team to deliver a smooth-running service
  • Deal with day to day staff queries, liaising with appropriate support functions where required to resolve the queries within a reasonable timeframe

Imaging Service Manager
