About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced Theatre Practitioners to work within the operating theatres of a leading NHS hospital in Hertfordshire.
We are interested in hearing from Scrub Nurses, Anaesthetic Practitioners and ODPs with previous theatre experience who are looking for flexible agency opportunities.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality perioperative care to patients throughout their surgical journey.
Work within the Scrub, Anaesthetic or Recovery area according to your experience and competency.
Prepare theatres, equipment, instruments and supplies for surgical procedures.
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and sterile technique.
Assist surgeons and anaesthetic teams during procedures.
Carry out relevant patient safety checks and maintain accurate documentation.
Ensure theatre equipment is safe, prepared and ready for use.
Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Maintain patient dignity, safety and confidentiality at all times.
Follow NHS policies, clinical guidelines and professional standards.
About You
We are looking for candidates with:
Current NMC or HCPC registration, where applicable.
Previous experience working within an operating theatre.
Experience in Scrub, Anaesthetics or Recovery.
Strong knowledge of perioperative practice.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The ability to work effectively in a busy hospital environment.
A strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
Flexibility to work a range of agency shifts.
