Responsibilities
As a Staff Nurse in the Day Unit, you will:
Deliver safe, high‑quality, individualised nursing care in line with hospital policies
Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Provide specialist clinical advice within your area of practice
Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to maintain outstanding service standards
Promote and support Clinical Governance throughout all clinical activities
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure safe use of resources
Continuously develop your clinical practice and professional competence
Requirements
Essential
Registered Nurse (Adult) – NMC Part 1
Minimum 12 months post‑registration surgical experience
Strong communication skills
Ability to prioritise effectively and work calmly under pressure
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Commitment to ongoing professional development
A positive, team‑focused attitude
Desirable
Mentorship or teaching experience
Basic IT skills
Knowledge of current professional issues and evidence‑based practice
