As a Senior Radiographer, you will play a key role in delivering a high quality diagnostic imaging service across a varied and interesting caseload. You will use your advanced skills in CT and MRI with additional exposure to general imaging services, to support patients across outpatient, inpatient, ward and theatre settings.
This role offers both clinical autonomy and leadership, making it ideal for radiographers who want to continue scanning while also influencing service development and supporting junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Deliver a first‑class diagnostic imaging service with accuracy, compassion, and professionalism
Treat every patient as an individual, offering reassurance, empathy, and clear communication
Perform and supervise MRI and CT examinations, with extension into general imaging
Support imaging services across departments, wards, and theatres
Contribute to the development and expansion of imaging services (“scoping”)
Supervise, mentor, and support junior radiographers
Maintain the highest standards of governance, safety, and patient confidentiality
Ensure imaging pathways run smoothly and efficiently
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
BSc in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent)
HCPC registration
Postgraduate qualification
Proven competence in both CT and MRI
Ability to work accurately, independently, and with compassion
Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable
Experience supporting or leading service development
Previous experience supervising junior staff
