​Radiographer Band 5

A well-known hospital located minutes away from Central London are looking to find an enthusiastic and flexible radiographer to join their small imaging department. The client is currently going through some exciting changes with new equipment, hospital redevelopment and with new management and this would be the ideal time to join the team.

The right candidate will be expected to perform a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (general x-ray, theatres, fluoroscopy, DSA and Interventional Radiology) as required throughout the hospital.

Duties:

  • Act as a point of advice for imaging referrers and patient enquiries regarding their referral.

  • Act as a patient advocate in Radiation protection issues.

  • Operate advanced software on Sauret-Jackson’ Radiological equipment.

  • Ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective diagnostic imagining service by participating in the organization, co-ordination, and prioritization of the flow of work.

  • Ensure a high standard or patient care are maintained throughout the imaging department.

  • Liaise with Consultant Radiologist for clarification regarding selection of the most clinically appropriate imaging examination.

  • Ensure that images are presented for reporting in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Ensure that urgent findings are communicated to the appropriate person.

  • Participate in out of hours service, providing an on-call service for patients requiring urgent imaging.

  • Perform non-radiographic tasks to assist with the day to say running of the department.

Requirements:

  • Diagnostic Diploma or Degree in Radiography

  • HCPC Registration

  • Evidence of clinical experience as a Radiographer.

  • Knowledge current Radiation Protection regulations

  • Able to work weekends/on-call as required

  • Competence across a range of radiographic skills support by professional knowledge acquired through degree.
