They provide high quality, consultant-led and patient focussed adult and paediatric rehabilitation services for those diagnosed with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. With a Head Office in London, an Inpatient and Outpatient Neurorehabilitation hospital in Bagshot, Surrey, outpatient centres at the heart of London and an outreach service, they are conveniently placed to treat patients from London and surrounding counties, wider UK as well as overseas. They are looking for a Neuro Physiotherapist to join the team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assess and treat own caseload of patients who have a neurological diagnosis and may have a complex presentation.
Work within professional standards and clinical guidelines, promote best practice and to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
Build up and maintain key relationships with referring services and to facilitate appropriate referrals, and an understanding of the roles within the neuro rehabilitation team.
Take an active role in the weekly time tabling meetings to prioritise and ensure a timely response for assessments and treatments.
Be responsible for the supervision and line management of junior staff, including physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants and physiotherapy students.
Support self and service development through active participation in continuing professional development (CPD) and by participating in any audit or research being undertaken by the service.
Your working hours will be 37.5 hours a week – 12 hours a day.
Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy.
Current HCPC registration.
Evidence of CPD relevant to treatment of neurological conditions.
Evidence of up-to-date CPD portfolio.
Involvement in Appraisal and KSF Scheme.
Member of CSP.
Rotations at a Band 5 and Band 6 level in a wide range of clinical areas including elderly care, ICU, respiratory medicine, neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal, community and orthopaedics.
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team.
Experience in supervising and appraising junior therapists and support workers.
Experience in supervising physiotherapy students.
Experience working with Social Services.
