The Role - Lead Nurse Manager

In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of Medical Services and take the lead on operational excellence across the medical departments. You will oversee the IV Infusion Suite, develop governance processes, support clinical teams, and ensure the organisation delivers a consistently outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Operational Leadership
  • Lead the IV infusion nursing team with confidence, autonomy, and compassion
  • Serve as deputy to the Head of Medical Services during absences

  • Ensure governance systems meet Outstanding CQC standards

  • Provide expertise in venepuncture, cannulation, and safe antimicrobial prescribing

  • Optimise medicines management and champion patient‑centred care

  • Maintain seamless day‑to‑day clinical operations, including bookings, diary flow, H&S compliance, equipment management, billing and enquiries

  • Inspire a culture of excellence, accountability, and proactive problem‑solving

Governance, Quality & Safety

  • Support audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement processes

  • Uphold compliance with policies, procedures, regulations, and clinical standards

  • Identify service gaps and drive improvements with urgency and precision

  • Maintain exceptional patient documentation, data accuracy, and safety reporting

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, coach, motivate, and support a multidisciplinary clinical team

  • Oversee competency, performance, and mandatory training

  • Promote a culture of kindness, transparency, and continuous growth

  • Lead change management projects and standardisation across the organisation

Service Expansion & Innovation

  • Work with senior leadership to develop new services aligned with business strategy

  • Contribute to business plans, budgeting, and commercial development

  • Drive operational efficiency while maintaining luxury standards

Patient & Consultant Experience

  • Set the tone for an exceptional patient journey from start to finish

  • Gather and act on patient feedback, ensuring timely improvements

  • Promote a service culture where every patient becomes a “net promoter”

  • Support VIPs and high‑end clientele with discretion and warmth

The Ideal Candidate

  • 8–10+ years’ experience as a Lead Nurse in a private medical clinic

  • V300 Prescribing Qualification

  • Outstanding venepuncture and cannulation skills

  • Experience managing IV infusion services

  • Strong leadership, operational oversight, and governance skills

  • Exceptional communication: articulate, polished, client‑focused

  • Commercial awareness and confidence in business‑aligned decision‑making

  • Experience supporting VIP and international clientele

  • Ability to inspire teams and maintain high performance in a fast‑paced environment

  • Strong IT competency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • A proactive, diplomatic, emotionally intelligent approach
