Duties & Responsibilities
Assist nursing staff in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients, recognising their individuality, and promoting privacy and dignity at all times.
Preparing clinical rooms for procedures and assisting staff with administrative and clinical duties.
Perform, document and report clinical observations and report changes in patient’s condition to nurse in charge or Consultant.
Assist with patient hygiene, elimination, mobility, physical comfort, eating, drinking, whilst observing and reporting specific changes.
Skills & Experience
Health Care Certificate or NVQ in Health Care Level 2.
Previous experience working in a surgical unit within an acute hospital setting.
Ability to work as part of a team, and prioritise workload in order to deliver basic care skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as being friendly and adaptable in your approach.
Polite and pleasant with an appropriate professional demeanour and also able to cope with stressful and sensitive situations.
